CMDB Item Classes

CMDB item classes allow you to profile your organization’s CMDB items or categorize them according to their function in an organization, for example, Sales, or Marketing. You can create, rename or delete classes. Classes are not linked to CMDB item types.

You may wish to classify your organization’s CMDB items by defining and configuring your own CMDB Item Types. vFire Core supports the creation of a multi-level hierarchy of CMDB entity types but not of CMDB Item Classes.
